Arrival early in the morning into the Mundo Maya International Airport from Belize City.  Our driver will pick you up and take you to the Tikal National Park, where you will have a guided tour with a professional guide. He will share interesting information about this ancient civilization with you.  After lunch you will visit the Sylannus G. Morley Museum.  At 2 p.m. transfer from Tikal National Park to airport for your flight back to Belize City. (Please note that this price isn't listed because it depends on the number of sign-ups and the size of the group. This is a customized tour we will gladly send you further information on at your request). This tour will be available again starting in November 2012. For now a one day tour of TIKAL from Belize is only possible using ground transportation from San Ignacio Cayo District or the border town of Melchor de Mencos on the Guatemala- Belize border.

Day 1 : Transfer from Belize City to the ancient Maya Ceremonial site of Tikal, in Guatemala. Upon arrival transfer to Tikal.  This archaeological gem comprises 586 square kilometers of jungle all around the ceremonial center. Day 2: Breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast guided tour of Tikal with a Professional guide. Tikal is the largest excavated site in the Americas.  It took the University of Pennsylvania 13 years to uncover about 10 square miles of structure after structure at Tikal.  However, much of it is left still to be unearthed… The site’s monumental architecture is truly the grandest in the Maya World…

Tikal was an important ceremonial and economic center for almost 2 centuries, before being abandoned by the Maya more than one thousand years ago.  Lunch at your hotel.  After lunch, Visit the Sylvannus G. Morley Museum, that houses some of the artifact’s found by world famous Mayan Scholars. In the afternoon you will have some time to explore more of Tikal and listen to the sounds of nature… Overnight at the Tikal Inn or the Jungle Lodge.
