You may also travel from your hotel in San Ignacio to the border by taxi on your own account and our driver will meet you at the border town of Melchor de Mencos on the Guatemalan side. Our service is the least expensive option for fully equipped and fully insured vehicles, which are the most recent models, with air conditioning, sound system and great drivers you will see on the road to Tikal. Some of our vehicles have a DVD player for longer journeys. These prices are valid for private transfers only and the number of people should all belong to the same party making the booking to travel together. Please inquire about our prices for group transfers but please note that we do not operate shuttles that people can just sign up for or any kind of public services. We only operate private first class transportation.

We may also provide more details on a private transfer to the Guatemala- Belize border, to Melchor de Mencos, and we may also arrange your transportation within Belize. All the duties paid at the border to take our cars with Guatemalan license plates into Belize are what make some of these transfers more expensive, as a transfer to the border from or to Yaxha, from or to Flores or from or to Tikal is only US$ 141 one way... We will be glad to propose transfers combining our fleet in Belize with our cars in Guatemala to reduce costs. This does not apply to luxury travel options.
